360 Security ensures that nothing malicious lurks when you browse the web or download files. It can block access to suspicious websites, look through the history of your browser, keep track of how much data you use and even track down your missing phone.
The suite also comes with an firewall, a data shredder and scheduled tools for cleaning your system. It updates drivers on a regular basis, has anti-tracking capabilities and gives you access to tech support with just one click.
The software’s interface is intuitive and user-friendly even though there are plenty of options and settings. The majority of settings are controlled by a large switch, button or checkmark. This is great from a ergonomic point of view. The program is available on both Windows and Mac, and it’s free to use (ad-supported).
The antivirus does a decent job of protecting your computer from malware. Its real-time security detects more than 99percent of threats, and it didn’t produce use this link false positives during my testing. However, it’s not able to provide the same level of protection as leading products in terms of file scanning and heuristics.
360 Total Security offers a variety of additional security and maintenance functions as well as a VPN available only available in the premium version.
